Enrollment Expo, MAP testing, and become a substitute teacher

The Enrollment Expo is this Saturday! If your child is entering middle or high school next year, or if you are interested in exploring other schools in the district, come to the Enrollment Expo this Saturday, Jan. 21 from 10am-3pm at Tulsa Tech, 3850 N. Peoria Ave. You can meet with representatives from all 78 schools, get information about district support services, learn about available community resources, and enjoy lunch free of charge!  Click here to learn more about the expo and other enrollment events . The application for appointment to represent Board District 2 is open! The Board of Education invites all eligible residents of District 2 to consider submitting an application to be considered for appointment to serve as board member. The Board will accept applications until 5pm on Friday, Jan. 20. You can click here for detailed information about eligibility, here for a map of District 2, and here for a description of District 2 boundaries. It is important to keep in mind that we will be using the new district board election map approved in December 2022.

The application for appointment to represent Board District 2 is online here and paper copies are available at every District 2 school in the front office. Paper applications can be scanned and emailed to Sarah Bozone at bozonsa@tulsaschools.org or delivered to Sarah Bozone at the Education Service Center at 3027 S. New Haven Ave.

Understanding your child’s academic growth through the MAP assessment. Students will take Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) reading and math assessments from Jan. 11-27, and MAP results will help you and your child’s teachers understand your child’s academic growth so far this year. The results also help your child’s school team provide the support your child needs to be successful. Click here for tips and commonly asked questions.
